FREDERIC MOURET
President and CEO
Over 12 years of experience in the medical device industry. In 2004, he founded PROTOMED with the vision of providing an alternative solution for device development in EU. Frederic spent 5 years as a research scientist with the CNRS where he oversaw the development of aortic valves and vascular surgical implants.

Frederic holds a PhD in Cardiovascular Biomechanics from Université de la Méditerranée and a MS in materials engineering from the Institut Supérieur de Mécanique de Paris (Supmeca).

Vincent GARITEY
Chief Technical Officer
Vincent Garitey has over 15 years of experience in the medical device industry and joined PROTOMED in 2005 as a partner and associate. He holds several device patents with French Key Opinion Leaders. As a former AFNOR and AFSSAPS expert, Vincent contributes in reinforcing PROTOMED lead position in cardiovascular device development and in vitro testing services.

Vincent played a major role as establishing ISO standard specifications of cardiac valve prosthesis. He spent 5 years as a scientist for MecaBio specializing cardio-vascular devices research and was the lead engineering in the development of Prof. Alain Carpentier's mechanical valve prosthesis, a collaborative project with BAXTER Healthcare and SICN.

Garitey holds a PhD in Fluid Mechanics from Université de la Méditerranée.

Karim MOUNEIMNÉ
Chief Business Development Officer
After 2 years of successful collaboration, Karim joined PROTOMED following the acquisition of his company VENTURE MEDICAL SOLUTIONS in October 2008. He has over 12 years of international experience in the device industry in Europe and in the USA. He held several successful commercial development positions with Johnson & Johnson and key R&D positions with Edwards Lifesciences developing vascular surgery prosthesis. His dual international sales and technical experience provides him an edge in leading PROTOMED business development activities, and in negotiating positions with strategic partners.
